Position Details
  • Status: part time, as needed, minimum of two days per week availability.
  • Locations: 2 positions – one day position (STL city/county) and one evening position (Webster Groves).
  • Reports To:

    MLC Director.
  • Pay: $48 per hour for PRN.
Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates speech and language skills for children and adolescents and provides appropriate treatment/interventions to improve deficit areas.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited school
  • Licensed in the state of Missouri
  • ASHA Certification
  • Experience in providing Speech and Language evaluations and treatment to children and/or adolescents
Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's strengths and weaknesses as they relate to speech and language issues.
  • Develop appropriate therapy goals aligned with the general education curriculum and/or assist the family in reaching realistic goals for treatment.
  • Create and update the treatment plan as appropriate.
  • Work as part of an educational team and establish rapport with school staff and parents.
  • Support Partner School Staff by providing expertise, input, and advice on speech and language issues.
  • Maintain adequate progress notes for IEP goals, insurance, and other stakeholders.
  • Write IEP goals, present level of performance, and quarterly progress notes as assigned.
  • Follow the Partner School's calendar with regular attendance and notify the school staff and MLC staff in case of an absence; ensure missed IEP minutes are made up and documented.
  • Maintain contact with other professionals to ensure coordinated treatment efforts.
  • Submit billing in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other duties specified by the supervisor and/or school staff.
