OverviewOutstanding opportunities exist for general neurologists to join Washington University Regional Physicians (WURP) and practice in a community setting with ties to one of the country’s leading academic neurology departments and the largest provider of neurological services in the St. Louis region. WURP physicians practice independently in a community setting while staying connected to WashU Medicine Neurology, giving access to all subspecialties, educational conferences and professional development opportunities;
a voluntary faculty appointment is available if desired. As a member of the WashU Medicine team, you will have ready access to WashU physicians in all medical and surgical specialties. Practices are located in multiple St. Louis area locations and provide opportunities to perform EEG, EMG and Sleep Medicine services. No stroke call is required. The affiliated community hospitals have earned Joint Commission Gold Standard of Approval for Primary Stroke Center certification and serve a catchment area of more than one million people.
The hospitals are members of BJC Health Care, the market leader in the St. Louis region.
- Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients, ensuring evidence-based and compassionate clinical management.
- Coordinates with nurses, advanced practitioners, specialists, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Records all patient encounters, orders, and follow-up information accurately in EPIC to meet WashU Medicine and regulatory standards.
- Maintains active licensure and privileges, complies with WashU Medicine policies, and upholds ethical, regulatory, and confidentiality requirements.

Required QualificationsEducation: M.D., D.O., or Equivalent Degree from an Accredited Medical School

Other QualificationsHold or be eligible to obtain medical license(s) in Missouri and/or Illinois.

Salary and BenefitsSalary: Base pay is commensurate with experience. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University; individual rates are determined by qualifications, performance, equity, market rates, and department budget.
