Overview
SSM Health is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced clinical knowledge to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic patient conditions, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic treatments and develop individualized care plans
- Apply evidence-based practices to ensure continuity of care and coordinate referrals to community resources
- Communicate effectively with staff and patients, ensuring timely, compliant documentation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain collaborative relationships within the care team
- Provide telemedicine and telehealth services as applicable
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare or clinical experience, including clinical hours during PA training
- Current licensure and certification as required by the state of practice:
- Illinois:
Licensed PA (IDFPR), BLS (AHA), NCCPA certification AND Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Missouri:
Licensed PA (Missouri Division of Professional Registration), AND BLS (AHA), NCCPA certification AND Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
