Position: Health Plan Specialist | Medicaid (28877)
Location: St. Louis

Overview

Start date: Monday, February 23

Location
: 100% Remote | Candidates must reside within the following states:

  • WI, MO, NE, SD, ND, IA, TX, KS, IL, OK

Job Type
:
Contract (12 months)

Compensation
: $21.00 per hour + $1 shift differential (shifts ending at or after 6:30pm)

Schedule:

Shift Requirements: Candidates must be open to working any shift between:

  • 8:00am–6:00pm CST
    , or
  • 8:00am–9:00pm CST
    , Monday–Friday
  • Training: 8am – 4:30pm CST (first 4-6 weeks)

Internet Speed Requirements

  • Upload speed:
    Minimum of 5+ Mbps
  • Download speed:
    Minimum of 25+ Mbps
  • Ping:
    Must be less than 100MS

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset in every interaction.
  • Utilize online tools and multiple applications to efficiently resolve member concerns.
  • Maintain ownership of each case from start to finish, ensuring complete documentation and follow-through.
  • Assist members with benefit inquiries, enrollment questions, and issue resolution.
  • Handle 100% inbound customer service calls (approximately 50–70 calls/day during peak season).
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare related setting
  • 1+ year of Health Insurance experience, prior experience in a healthcare or insurance-related customer service role.
  • Medicaid knowledge
  • Ability to explain complex information in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attendance record and reliability.
  • Familiarity with CRM or call center software platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in navigating multi-screen workstations and using multiple applications simultaneously.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated interest in career growth within healthcare or insurance services.
