Overview
This position is responsible for developing and executing design, branding, and digital media graphics as directed by the Manager of Mission Communications and the organizational strategic plan. Duties include developing all print and digital graphics to complement communications that support and sustain agency activities and visually represent the Family Forward brand, creating compelling visual and written content that supports and sustains agency activities and enhances engagement across platforms.
Employee must be available to work an average of 20 hours per week during core business hours.

- Celebrate the hard work and success of completing planned initiatives, including a comprehensive campaign.
- Ensure vulnerable children have access to the therapeutic and educational services they deserve.
- Assist in the development of the annual fundraising plan, campaign materials, and development calendar.
- Support external and internal communications with print and digital designs for key audiences. Deliverables include publications, campaign appeals, marketing collateral, advertisements, event materials, social media graphics, email blasts, signage, and templates. Create designs that are consumer-focused, clear, and story-driven.
- Design elements of and maintain agency website and staff intranet.
- Maintain agency brand guidelines and ensure standards are met. Provide brand materials for outside parties as requested. Create and maintain templates for agency communications (i.e., letterhead, forms, and presentations).
- Maintain an agency library of graphics and stock photos.
- Keep informed on current design, web, and non-profit development trends.
- Assist in writing content for digital newsletters, as needed.
- Develop and write original content for social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and other digital platforms that align with Family Forward’s voice and messaging strategy.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Mission Communications to create integrated content strategies that support fundraising, awareness, and engagement goals.
- Assist in writing and editing content for digital newsletters, blog posts, and donor communications.
- Participate in other projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum three years’ experience in print and digital graphic design in the field of non-profit communications, public affairs, education, social and human services, or related areas.
- Experience with HTML, Word Press, and email marketing programs, as well as familiarity with the use of trending digital media platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Print and digital design using a PC or Mac. Advanced knowledge of all Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high functioning team environment required.
- Proven written, creative, and verbal communications skills.
- Minimum three years’ experience in print and digital graphic design and content creation.
- Proven written, creative, and verbal communications skills, with demonstrated ability to create engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of agency vision, mission, and services.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs and time pressures.
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement.
- Ability to disseminate information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, clients, donors, and vendors.
- Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with all levels of the agency - internal and external.
- Knowledge of and experience in event photography.
- Knowledge of video editing.
