Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Pastor and Choir/Music Director, accompany on organ and piano for Sunday Masses (Possibly up to three masses), school Masses on Wednesdays and choir rehearsals.
Job Responsibilities- Performing piano and organ accompaniment for practice, rehearsals and Masses.
- Having knowledge of church music and how it integrates into the liturgy
- Knowledge of church documents governing liturgy, especially Sacrosanctum Concilium, Musicum Sacram, and general instructions of the Roman Missal are preferred
- Having basic knowledge of music sound production
- Willingness to set up and tear down music equipment as needed
- Advanced piano skills and organ skills
- Two years of experience as an accompanist preferred
- Ability to read music
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with Catholic Music and all styles
- Basic Catholic Church teachings in regards to music and spirituality
- Self-starter with strong project management skills, self motivated
- Demonstrate your catholic faith and commitment to St. Paul’s mission and values
