Residential Construction Superintendent

Position Overview

Messing Roofing is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee the installation of residential replacement projects, including roofing, siding, gutters, soffit, and fascia. This role is responsible for managing multiple active projects daily, coordinating crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering projects on time with excellent customer communication.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, field‑experienced, detail‑oriented, and comfortable using technology to manage schedules, scopes, and production within a CRM system.

• Oversee residential replacement installations including:
  • Roofing
  • Siding
  • Gutters
  • Soffit and fascia
• Review job scopes and project details prior to installation
• Order and verify materials to ensure accuracy and on‑time delivery
• Schedule and coordinate multiple subcontractors to ensure:
  • Roofing, siding, and gutters are installed consecutively
  • No delays occur for the homeowner
• Communicate installation schedules clearly with homeowners
• Be present on job sites during active projects
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to Messing Roofing standards
• Manage and communicate change orders during projects and ensure customer approval is obtained in writing
• Maintain several active projects daily to ensure production goals and timelines are met
• Resolve job‑site issues quickly and professionally
• Use company CRM and computer systems to:
  • Schedule jobs
  • Review scopes of work
  • Document progress
  • Complete job closeouts
• Maintain professional relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal team members

• Prior experience as a superintendent, project manager, or foreman in residential exterior construction
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Roofing systems
  • Siding installation
  • Gutter systems
  • Soffit and fascia
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to identify quality issues and ensure corrective action
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors
• Comfortable enforcing schedules and production expectations
• Proficient with computers, scheduling tools, and CRM systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Experience specifically in residential replacement (not new construction)
• Familiarity with CRM platforms used in construction or home improvement
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
