Job Details:

Our reputable construction firm is seeking a Permanent Construction Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the successful execution of complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a proven track record as a general contractor. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of industry experience and offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of our construction projects to ensure accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
• Reviewing project plans and proposals, and working with management to develop project objectives, identify project responsibilities and manpower requirements.
• Applying expert knowledge of construction methods, electrical systems, and health and safety regulations.
• Coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and field personnel, to resolve any potential design or construction issues.
• Conducting on-site inspections to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
• Preparing, reviewing, and updating project schedules, cost estimates, and other project-related documents.
• Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities, ensuring satisfaction and adherence to all relevant regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficient in interpreting and executing architectural drawings and construction plans.
• Exceptional project management and supervision skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed to meet project requirements.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
