The Buyer plays a critical role in developing and executing category strategies through detailed analysis and supplier engagement. This position supports supplier relationship management, drives cost and performance improvements, and leads category and supplier management for assigned sub-categories. The Buyer will also champion enterprise initiatives such as cost savings, working capital optimization, and supplier rationalization across global operations.
ResponsibilitiesConduct quantitative analysis using Excel and/or Access to support sourcing decisions
Develop category and supplier profiles and maintain accurate supplier scorecards
Support negotiations and cost model development across assigned categories; lead efforts for designated sub-categories and suppliers
Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment with procurement strategies
Support development of category-specific pipelines and sourcing plans
Execute sourcing projects and product cycle plans independently
Conduct supply market analysis and benchmark studies
Manage day-to-day supplier relationship activities, including SAP and SRM queries
Drive compliance with procurement policies and risk management programs
Interface with legal teams to ensure proper contract approvals and signatory levels
Demonstrate expertise in negotiation tools and techniques, applying them regularly
Develop and implement sub-category procurement strategies aligned with company goals
Evaluate bids, recommend suppliers, and track procurement performance metrics
Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred)
2+ years of procurement experience (strategic and practical) and demonstrated success managing projects
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel/Access capabilities (beyond basic data entry)
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present ideas in business‑friendly language
Highly self‑motivated with ability to drive change in a decentralized organization

Ability to set priorities and make decisions
Experience working in SAP and eProcurement tools (e.g., Ariba)
Experience managing supplier relationships and conducting negotiations
Strong facilitation skills to collaborate with stakeholders globally
Understanding of cost structures, working capital, and financial metrics
Knowledge of eSourcing methodology and procurement best practices

Total Rewards PackageThe salary range for this position is USD $66,000.00/Yr.
- USD $75,000.00/Yr.
Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, internal peers, prior performance, business sector and geographic location.
