Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Our Kforce client located in the greater Saint Louis, MO area is seeking to hire a savvy Senior Accountant to join their company. This client offers great salary, benefits, excellent company culture, and a beautiful new office. This position is scheduled as hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) with the opportunity to pick days to come into the office.

The Senior Accountant supports period end close, financial analysis, and ongoing improvements to accounting processes. This role partners closely with business leaders, supports audits, prepares ad hoc reporting, and helps strengthen internal controls. The Senior Accountant serves as a subject matter expert and mentors junior team members.

• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Support forecasting, metric reviews, and cross functional initiatives
• Research and resolve accounting issues; recommend solutions
• Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations
• Support internal/external audit activities
• Improve and standardize accounting processes
• Train and mentor accountants

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred; MBA a plus
• 3-5 years general accounting experience
• Strong ERP and Excel skills (VLOOKUP, IFs, SUMIFs, pivot tables)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
