Accounting Manager

Overview

Nationwide distributor looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise daily activities of accounts payable and billing personnel and to assist in month-end accounting functions. This position ensures the accurate and timely billing of customer orders, processing of vendor invoicing and adhering to all SOX controls surrounding these processes.

• Manage all billing specialists and accounts payable processors
• Manage the AP Inbox workflow to make sure invoices are closed and exceptions are cleared in a timely manner
• Manage the timeliness of sales order billing
• Present the open order job problem report at the weekly meeting
• Manage the AP ledger and prepare month-end AP reconciliations
• Ensure vendor discounts are taken and prepare monthly AP Discount report by vendor
• Manage the month-end and year-end closings to ensure all vendor invoices have been worked and all completed orders have been billed
• Ensure all SOX accounting controls are being followed and assist with audit support

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business management

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
