Senior Cost Accountant

Overview

Are you a hands-on cost accountant who enjoys digging into the numbers and leading by example? A growing, mid-sized manufacturing company near Bridgeton, MO is hiring a hybrid Senior Cost Accountant for a direct hire role offering long-term stability and meaningful impact.

• Own core cost accounting activities, including materials, inventory, intercompany transactions, and customer billings
• Perform full-cycle accounting tasks such as journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support month-end close and meet critical deadlines
• Analyze inventory and cost data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clear reporting
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team while managing priorities and timelines

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail
