Title: Accounting Specialist

Duration: 06 months plus extension

Location: Des Peres, MO

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $27.17 hourly on W2

Job Description:

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the overall success of our financial team.

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date entries in the general ledger.
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Monitor and analyze expense trends.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Provide support during month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain organized and well-documented financial records.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and auditing.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
