Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

Calculated Hire is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our leading telecommunications client in St. Louis, MO. This role primarily focuses on data entry and invoice processing in an automated environment. It’s an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate setting while ensuring the Accounts Payable function runs smoothly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter and process invoices in an automated Accounts Payable system.
• Manage both PO (Purchase Order) and non-PO invoice data to ensure timely payments.
• Review invoices for accuracy, coding, and compliance with company policies.
• Meet daily and weekly processing volume requirements.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies or missing information.
• Maintain organized records and support audits or reporting as needed.

Experience & Skills:

• Data entry experience with strong accuracy and speed.
• Prior invoice processing or Accounts Payable experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in an automated system environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals in a structured workflow.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a team-driven environment.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
