Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves managing comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, ensuring financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly and accurately.

- Follow up with overdue accounts.

- Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities to support organizational goals.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations.

- Utilize accounting software, such as Quick Books, to record and manage financial transactions.

- Support year-end tax preparation and ensure payroll processing is completed efficiently.

- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions to facilitate audits and reporting requirements.

Requirements

- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books and/or Great Plains

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.

- Payroll processing experience is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

- Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is essential.
