Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and streamline accounts receivable processes for our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual skilled in resolving account discrepancies and fostering positive client relationships. As a Contract to permanent position, it offers the opportunity to showcase your expertise while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts by collaborating with internal teams and addressing escalated issues.

- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and recommend effective collection strategies.

- Prepare and distribute monthly account statements to ensure clients are informed of their balances.

- Process incoming payments accurately and maintain up-to-date transaction records.

- Review and evaluate new customer credit applications in accordance with company guidelines.

- Engage in B2B collections to maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely payments.

- Support billing functions by verifying accuracy and addressing any inconsistencies.

- Handle cash activity efficiently, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable, including cash applications and collections.

- Strong knowledge of B2B collections and commercial billing processes.

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage financial discrepancies.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.

- Proficiency in handling cash activity and maintaining accurate records.

- Ability to assess credit applications and align them with company policies.

- Familiarity with financial software and accounting tools.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
