Job Description SummaryResponsible for the performance of cash and accridel management functions, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting. Imposes established accounting principles to work under limited supervision and consistently produce a high quality and accurate work product.
Responsibilities- Perform Full Cycle Accounting, including analysis of accounts and transaction records; prepare and assist with cash management, AP, AR, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain organization and prioritization of a high‑volume workload for multiple clients.
- Generate comprehensive financial reporting packages in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with internal controls and client requirements.
- Apply appropriate procedures for the preparation of accounting records, research of transactions, and reporting.
- Prepare and review fixed‑asset ledgers to ensure proper capitalization and depreciation, including straight‑line rent calculations based on client preferences.
- Apply company financial policies and procedures and report inconsistencies or problems to management.
- Research, analyze, and effectively communicate basic accounting issues; appropriately escalated any findings.
- Communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner.
- Assist internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested.
- College degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Some experience (less than one year) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience with accounting or database software packages preferred.
- Basic knowledge of commercial real estate preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Analytical, attention to detail, communication (oral & written), customer/client focus, financial management, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Compensation for the successful candidate will range between $60,000 and $63,000 per year. Rates may vary depending on factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements. The company will not pay less than minimum wage.
