Registered Nurse, OR Circulator - Ambulatory Surgery Center

Overview

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) teams. Be part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in St. Louis Park with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Center(s) as needed. We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center and seek team members with a positive outlook who work well on a team.

The RN - Operating Room (OR) Circulator provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. The RN uses a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy.

Previous experience preferred in the designated area.

• FTE:
  Casual (minimum of 4 shifts in a 4 week schedule)
• Variable Start Times
• Variable Shift Lengths
• Rotating Late Shifts
• Occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• ACLS Certification required (or willing to obtain within 3 months)
• Operating Room experience required
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

• AORN Certification preferred (CNOR) and/or AORN knowledge base
• Scrub experience preferred
