Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse at the Melrose Institute provides and manages direct nursing care to patients. Autonomously and in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team, provides assessment, planning, implementation, intervention, and evaluation skills. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care delegated to Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and other assistive personnel.

- 7 FTE, D/E/EOW
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate of a school of registered nursing.
- AD/Diploma required.
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- Strong human relations skills
One year experience in an acute care or mental health/behavioral unit desired.
