Job Description

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Performs high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment. Maintains nuclear medicine equipment in optimum working condition.

Work Schedule

Part-time .6 FTE. Various 8 hour shift starting between 0630am-0800am on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Rotation through call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Performs high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintains nuclear medicine equipment in optimum working condition.
  • Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current of technical advances.
  • AART or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification
  • Must maintain BLS.
  • Must be able or willing to be trained in administering intravenous radioactive chemicals.
  • Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of nuclear medicine experience
