Overview
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This casual/PRN position travels to outpatient centers in the Twin Cities area with a flexible schedule. The pay range is $31.65-$51.29 per hour based on direct and relevant experience. Daily Pay is available.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Screens patient before exam for precautions or contraindications using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures and positions patients so the body parts can be imaged.Performs routine and advanced sonography imaging procedures with minimal supervision, supporting patients during the procedure and providing clear communication.Adjusts sonography scan parameters as needed.Follows physicians orders, adheres to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements.Sonography Department Support
Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.Assist with training of new team members, providing resources and technical expertise as applicable.Other Duties as Assigned
Completes other tasks and projects as assigned.Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Graduate of an AMA-accredited sonography program or CAAHEP.Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in good standing.Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, , ObGyn, etc.).Licensed Sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable).Current CPR certification.Must have sufficient training and experience to perform sonography procedures independently.Preferred qualifications
ACLS certification.OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.Bilingual.RAYUS is an EO Employer/Vets/Disabled.
