There is flexibility in the number of billable hours per week (the same amount must be worked each week). This role can be onsite or in a hybrid work model.
If you are able to work onsite at least 2 days per week, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.
Typical work schedule: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 1-hour lunch break. One late day per week required: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities- Regularly perform intakes, diagnostic evaluations, prepare and monitor treatment planning while engaging in appropriate client therapy practices and following guidance provided by supervision
- Form effective therapeutic alliances, supporting each client's unique needs and goals, contributing to positive client outcomes and retention
- Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and modeling related to the individual’s goals, treatment plan and diagnosis
- Engage in crisis interventions, stabilization, and de-escalation for clients with mental health symptoms or other emotional/behavioral responses, prioritizing client safety
- Timely and accurately document all client interactions as required by law, ethical standards, board requirements and CARE Counseling policy
- Provide one-to-one supportive counseling; observe client behavior, physical and emotional symptoms; perform behavioral management interventions as needed
- Participate in creating an overall positive atmosphere with other staff and clients
- Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision, group consultation, PILT trainings, team meetings, and other required meetings with preparation, timeliness and professionalism
- Demonstrate willingness to incorporate supervisor and leadership feedback to continuously improve standards of client care
- Accurately track and document hours related to licensing efforts, if applicable
- Maintain a full client caseload and additional responsibilities as assigned, aiming for an average quota of 26 points weekly
- Must either:
- Currently possess a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Behavioral Science/related field (Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Education, etc.)
- Currently in final months of Master’s Degree program and expect to complete within 90 days of employment
- Must either:
- Be in the process of working toward independent licensure and be in good standing with their licensing board
- Possess an active, unrestricted clinical license as a Pre-Independently Licensed Therapist in Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LPC, LICSW, LGSW, LMFT, LAMFT)
- LGSW is required for Pre-Licensed Social Workers
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to adhere to one of the following work models: onsite or hybrid (2+ days onsite; must have a distraction-free home workspace with high-speed internet)
- Ability to work one late day per week (10 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
- Experience in outpatient mental health
- Experience in clinical documentation
- Diagnostic assessment experience
- Experience maintaining a caseload and treatment planning
- Experience entering information in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Ability to read and interpret information from reports, publications, and regulations and share with others as needed
