Overview
We are offering a 12-month postgraduate program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Hospital Medicine with a start date of June 2026.
The Health Partners Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship engages APC learners in extensive training within Hospital Medicine, as well as required rotations in specialty areas deemed essential for proficiency. Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, formulating an assessment and plan, and providing necessary treatments and procedures. All work is supervised by an attending physician or APC. Primary sites include Regions Hospital and Methodist Hospital.
Through lectures and simulations, didactic sessions complement the diverse rotations and hands-on experiences, offering the APC Fellow the opportunity to develop clinical competence and confidence, critical thinking, and interprofessional collaboration. This helps APCs successfully integrate into practice at an accelerated rate compared to on-the-job training.
