LV/Electrical Systems EIT/Coordinator
HDR is seeking a LV/Electrical Systems EIT/Coordinator to join our St. Louis Park office.
Responsibilities:
- Complete project tasks including strong general engineering knowledge of telecommunication or electronic security systems and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
- Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives.
- Define and develop project related construction documents.
- Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.
- Develop alternative system design concepts, feasibility and trade-off studies and value-added engineering when required for projects.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
- Desire for continuous learning and professional advancement (EIT/PE certifications/licensure).
- Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- “Can-Do” and problem-solving mind-set.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget.
- Ability to produce drafting and documentation. Ability to work in Micro Station and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Preference given to local candidates
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
