LV/Electrical Systems EIT/Coordinator

HDR is seeking a LV/Electrical Systems EIT/Coordinator to join our St. Louis Park office.

Responsibilities:

• Complete project tasks including strong general engineering knowledge of telecommunication or electronic security systems and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
• Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives.
• Define and develop project related construction documents.
• Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.
• Develop alternative system design concepts, feasibility and trade-off studies and value-added engineering when required for projects.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
• Desire for continuous learning and professional advancement (EIT/PE certifications/licensure).
• Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.
• Perform other duties as needed

• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget.
• Ability to produce drafting and documentation. Ability to work in Micro Station and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
• Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
• Preference given to local candidates
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
