About the Job: General accounting work in a great environment

• Performs work in the functional areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, rental collections, and related financial areas
• Prepares financial statements and special financial reports according to generally accepted accounting procedures
• Provides information to contractors, financial institutions, and the public
• Prepares statistical and narrative reports for Federal and State agencies, and coordinates with said agencies as needed
• Assists in the collection and preparation of budget information for preliminary planning of the operating budget
• Performs other related duties as required

Preferred Qualifications : The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, teachable, and positive

• Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred)
• 2+ year(s) of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Competency with journal entries and bank reconciliations
• Ability to apply general accounting theories and practices in governmental accounting practice
• Graduate work or HUD accounting experience a plus!

• $66,000 - $74,000

• Hybrid, with 3 days in office required
