Local Delivery Driver; CDL A or B

Overview

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or

B) based in St. Joseph, MO. The driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and associated products along a computer-generated local route to customer locations. This position is physically active and requires loading/unloading at client sites. Drivers engage with customers by responding to their needs and providing excellent customer service.

• Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and types of products delivered and picked up
• Complete hazardous materials shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business and customer goals
• Continuously build knowledge on how Linde's business operates to support growth
• Other duties as assigned

• 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recently certified from an accredited Truck Driving School
• Valid Class A or B CDL required
• Current Hazmat Endorsement strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
• Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds
• Read and write in English
• High School diploma or GED required
• 21 years or older
