Maintenance Tech Trainee – Apprenticeship Program

There is an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician Trainee – at the Altec Midwest Facility in St. Joseph, Missouri. You must be a student enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program at North Central Missouri College in Savannah, MO.

• Student enrolled in the apprenticeship program at North Central Missouri College
• Machine knowledge through experience or vocational school training.
• Ability to pass applicable testing by the end of the program.
• Have basic computer usage knowledge.

• Troubleshoots automated equipment.
• Welds, cuts, brazes, and solders.
• Operates and troubleshoots circuit boards, and NC & CNC equipment.
• Interprets diagrams and operation manuals.
• Operates milling machines and drill presses.
• Troubleshoots programmable controllers, machinery, and mechanical equipment.
• Works with others to make independent decisions.
• Reads blueprints.
• Follow payroll timekeeping policies.
• Keep track of day-to-day processes in the computer system.
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
