Anderson Ford of St. Joseph is searching for a Collision Technician/ Bed Liner to join our shop! We are looking for a driven and detail orientated person. We're a family-owned business that began in Nebraska over 30 years ago. - Serve as a positive role model and/or teammate
- Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants and/or needs
- Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates, and plan work to be performed
- Sand body areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from paint.
- Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools.
- Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized sanders
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders and wrenches and install replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment.
- Chain or clamp frames and sections to alignment machines that use hydraulic pressure to align damaged components.
- Fill small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder
- File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
- Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical window-and-seat-operating equipment and trim to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders.
- Maintain inventory-ordering, cancellation and returns.
- Maintain current safety training for role.
- Maintain Certification and training for necessary programs
- Install correct bed-liners for trucks - new and used- up to required amount per week.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to function well in high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Valid driver license
