Material Handler - Mill - 3rd Shift

Under direct supervision, the Material Handler 1 operates forklifts or other mobile equipment to perform routine moving, staging, loading or unloading of materials, supplies or products within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site.

• Transports raw materials, supplies, products and/or finished goods to and from storage or production lines and places them in designated area. 80% of job.
• Completes all necessary paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements. 5% of the job.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities. 10% of the job.
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned. 5% of job.

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT Work Keys Assessment at certified job profile skill level.

Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

• 3+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing or shipping environment
• Mobile equipment certification

• Basic computer skills
• Time Management – prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands
• Detail Oriented – ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands
• Good communication skills
• Mobile equipment operations skills
