Position Overview

The production utility operator plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by performing a variety of tasks to ensure efficient production flow. This position is responsible for assisting with material handling, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The operator works closely with production teams to meet quality standards and production schedules.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure equipment is functioning correctly during shifts.
  • Move, stage, and replenish raw materials and finished goods to support production flow.
  • Perform utility tasks such as loading and unloading products.
  • Inspect materials and products for defects and report any issues to supervisor.
  • Perform minor equipment adjustments and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete required production logs, reports, and inventory records accurately.
  • Work closely with operators and production staff to meet daily production goals.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations and standard operating procedures at all times.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation as needed to meet business obligations.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferable.
Preferred Experience
  • Forklift experience preferred or willing to be trained for certification.
  • Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial facility, formulations and/or packaging.
