Maintenance Supervisor

Overview

Maintenance Supervisor – Maintenance/Facilities, Full Time, Variable Shift. Reports to the St. Joseph Facility Manager. Plans, controls, organizes, and monitors general maintenance operations. Oversees routine and general preventative maintenance within hospital facilities and clinics, including emergency repairs and project management, by supervising a team of maintenance technicians while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Mosaic standards to maintain optimal building functionality and patient care environments.

Ensures alignment with Mosaic's mission statement, CMS and TJC accreditation standards, and state and federal regulatory agencies. Coordinates repairs with the construction department, external contractors, and vendors. Monitors contract service employees and the overall progress of contract repair and replacement activities. Ensures work order labor and materials used are properly documented in CMMS. Must be willing to work hours outside the standard 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. weekdays as needed.

During emergencies, operational failures, and peak use periods, employee may be called in for extended shifts. Special procedures may require extended hours.

• Responsible for routine daily operations and the preventative maintenance program as it relates to prioritizing and monitoring daily work orders and completing assigned work orders.
• Assist with the Water Management Plan and ST 108 critical water system testing.
• Serve as maintenance liaison for the environment of care committee; conduct tours for EOC tours of all departments in the complex.
• Other duties as assigned.

• H.S. Diploma required. Associate's Degree or technical/vocational certification preferred.
• Driver's License – valid and in-state required. OSHA 10 within 90 days is required. OSHA 30 upon hire is preferred. EPA 608 CFC Certification – Universal Refrigerant Certification within 180 days is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in operations or facility maintenance, preferably in a healthcare environment. 2 years of management or supervisory experience required. Working knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, electrical systems, generators, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and automated control systems is preferred. Blueprint reading, building codes, NFPA, OSHA, The Joint Commission EOC requirements, policy and procedure development and implementation are preferred.
