Summer Hours will be as follows:
Summer 2026 Position starts on Tuesday, May 26, 2026
5/26-7/2 - Monday thru Friday - 6am-2:30pm (8 hour days) (closed Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day)
7/6-7/30 - Monday thru Thursday - 6am-4:30pm (10 hour days) (Off on Fridays for July)
8/3 - 8/21 - Monday thru Friday - 6am-2:30pm (8 hour days)
QualificationsMust be 16 years of age. Physically able to perform the specific job. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Success completion of a background check, physical capacity assessment, and drug screen prior to start date.

PurposeThis person is responsible for general upkeep of the grounds, maintenance work, and operation of motorized equipment as instructed by the Director of Operations or his appointed representative.
Essential Job Functions- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- Works with their assigned supervisor to maintain the grounds and buildings of the St. Joseph School District. Work is performed under a variety of conditions, such as extreme heat.
- Operates power equipment as required for the specific task.
- Safeguards the School District property, buildings, grounds, and equipment from damage in the performance of these duties.
- Works with their supervisor and maintenance staff performing necessary grounds projects such as mowing, seeding, and application of chemicals.
- Other duties as directed by the Director of Maintenance & Operations or his appointed representative.
- Must maintain appropriate grooming and appearance to work in a school setting.
- Cell phone use is limited to essential conversation only.
- Tobacco of any form is prohibited at all time.
- Other assigned duties.
