Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Saint Joseph, Missouri. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, particularly within manufacturing or inventory environments. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Conduct inventory and cost accounting analyses to support operational decision-making.

- Review and analyze manufacturing variances, cost of goods sold, and inventory adjustments.

- Prepare and reconcile balance sheets to maintain accurate financial data.

- Assist in generating financial reports and performing variance analyses.

- Maintain and update records within Net Suite to ensure data integrity.

- Provide documentation and support for both internal and external audit processes.

- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and strengthen internal controls. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail.

- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Familiarity with ERP systems, with Net Suite experience strongly preferred.

- Previous experience in manufacturing or inventory accounting is advantageous.

- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.

- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial data analysis.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
