Southwestern Medical Clinic, Niles, is seeking a compassionate full-time Pediatrician to join our dedicated team of providers. This is an employed position with two-year guaranteed salary plus the opportunity to earn productivity bonuses.

This is a great opportunity for providers with student loans! Corewell Health Southwestern Medical - Niles qualifies for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program. Award recipients may receive up to $100,000 for three years of full-time service.

Responsibilities
  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost-effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of the caseload at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they relate to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients’/parents’:/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services; acts as a patient/family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths and related activities.
  • Acts to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals in collaboration with Corewell Health.
Qualifications
  • LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) –  State of Michigan Upon Hire required OR
  • LIC-Physician (MD) –  State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-DEA Registration –  State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA 90 Days required
  • CRT-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA 120 Days recommended
