Reporting to the Lead, Terrestrial Science, the Coordinator, Terrestrial Science is responsible for developing and delivering credible, science-based terrestrial programs. The portfolio includes a range of ecosystem and habitat assessment, enhancement and offsetting projects to increase mitigation certainty, advance reclamation and support operation decision-making. You’ll scope, plan, and execute projects from inception through implementation and monitoring, while collaborating with EVR teams, Indigenous Nations, regulators, consultants and local stakeholders to achieve high‑quality outcomes.

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Develop and implement environmental monitoring programs to evaluate ecosystem recovery and mitigation effectiveness
• Plan and implement field programs; provide in‑field management and supervision of consultants and contractors to ensure safe, high‑quality project delivery aligned with scope, budget and work plans
• Support ecosystem and wildlife habitat enhancement initiatives, including managing sub‑projects such as invasive plant surveys and treatment, wildlife and vegetation surveys, archaeology assessments, and revegetation programs
• Manage and operate a whitebark pine seed orchard and associated genetics/propagation activities
• Understand and follow applicable permits, management plans, and associated regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, budgets and risk registers from planning through execution and monitoring
• Prepare and review technical work plans, maps and procedural/safety documentation (e.g., Environment, Health, Safety & Community Work Plans; Environmental Protection Work Plans)
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, Indigenous Nations, regulators, consultants, and community stakeholders; communicate results clearly in both formal and informal settings

• Degree or Diploma in Biological or Environmental Science, Forestry, Environmental Engineering or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum three years relevant experience in reclamation, vegetation, ecology, soils and project management, preferably in an industrial environment
