Senior Manager, Canadian Resource Centre (CRC) - Enterprise – KPMG Canada
OverviewAt KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.
We are currently looking to hire a full‑time Senior Manager to join the CRC National Management team to work from India. This role will ideally suit a professional with a proven track record of exceptional communication and technical skills in the assurance practice primarily on compilations. If you are looking for a career challenge and an opportunity to move to India for one to two years our growing team which supports a diverse group of engagement teams across the Globe may be the opportunity for you.
The CRC Senior Manager will be assisting the enterprise and ECS business units and the CRC Champions network with monthly reporting and budget modelling so that they are able to manage their CRC objectives and related KPIs. Therefore, a primary role of the CRC Senior Manager is to provide direct support and guidance to both offshore and onshore teams so that Canadian audit engagement teams can effectively leverage the CRC on their compilations work.
The focus will be to support engagement teams working on compilations and to formalise processes and policies for Risk Management and regulatory compliance purposes.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations in collaboration with other members of the CRC national management team.
- Provide direct support to enterprise and ECS engagement teams so they can effectively leverage the Assurance CRC on their engagements.
- Assist in overseeing the Quality (QMCI) team at the CRC in India by identifying areas for quality improvement and overseeing the implementation of solutions to ensure the highest audit quality and deliverables.
- Prepare training materials, how‑to, monthly/quarterly newsletters, and other guidance documents for the internal CRC portal.
- Leverage firm processes and programmes to ensure active support of the business.
- Oversee the usage of One Port (our intake portal) and be responsible for updating existing intake processes and creating new processes as necessary and as new services are developed and deployed. Test updated and new processes to ensure they operate as designed.
- Provide support to geographic business units to achieve geographic and local office CRC objectives.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for senior audit leadership and business unit leaders, including financial results and strategic commentary on hours results and trends.
- Oversee the performance of the various controls to ensure they are operating effectively throughout the year, and that reporting timelines are being met.
- Work with the Department of Professional Practice and the Canadian risk management team to ensure that the services provided by the audit CRC team to engagement teams are approved prior to deployment to ensure high quality.
- Willingness to travel internationally and ability to obtain requisite business‑traveller visa / work permits for India.
- The successful candidate recognizes and agrees to start their day earlier or work later than the normal office hours to allow for sufficient overlap with the offshore management team. This is a critical success factor in ensuring smooth operational oversight.
- At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfil the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
