We are recruiting for a Maintenance Team member in Saint John.
This position will be responsible for carrying out facilities maintenance duties that include, but are not limited to:
Respond to routine and on-demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment.Ensure work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.Participate in and assist with facility-related projects.Oversee Contractor activities.Building System start-up (including HVAC systems, boilers, chillers).General maintenance and repairsPreventative maintenance activities on building systems (including building inspections, belts, filters,).Navigate HVAC building controls (Delta Controls and Automated Logic).Perform regular facility mechanical and electrical systems monitoring and inspection including preventative and corrective maintenance.Snow removal when required.Knowledge and Experience
:
Experience in facilities maintenance; ability to manage contractors; working knowledge of Building Systems coupled with hands-on experience; positive attitude with a focus on customer service; and a valid driver’s license.
Day shift hours will vary, and this position will be required to be on call, on a rotating basis.
3 to 5 years’ experience in facility management or building maintenance.High school diploma plus trades training, certification, or licensing.Knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards considered an asset.Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.Demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and good work ethic.Interact well with other team members.Mechanically inclined and be adept at equipment repair and troubleshooting.Comfortable with heights and ladder work.Health and safety focus.Commercial Properties provides uniforms, tools, and competitive salary and benefits package.
