Job Title: Field Technician
Location: St. John's, NL
Available
Shifts:
Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm
Rate of Pay: $30.00 per hour
Advantage Personnel is currently recruiting for a Field Technician Specialist on behalf of our St. John's client. As one of the nation's leaders within the oil and gas industries, they are seeking a motivated individual who is exceptionally organized, safety oriented, and looking for potential to grow within the company. Some of the main duties could include day to day technical support, client facing problem solving, and preventative maintenance in regards to IT.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support to our clients end users, specifically related to end user computing devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices;
- Resolve technical support issues that cannot be resolved by the Service Desk or requires hands on approach;
- Deploy all IT solutions related to end user devices, site set up and deployment of new end user technologies including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, VoIP telephony, network equipment, server migrations, and satellite technology and software applications;
- Analyze, document, and escape critical issues to appropriate support groups;
- Monitor and ensure timely escalation of customer issues to internal organizations and/or vendors;
- Perform preventative maintenance and install upgrades and options.
- Certifications in the following:
Network+, A+, Lenovo Hardware, Dell Hardware, CISCO Switching (CCNA); - Experience with the following:
Windows 7, Windows 8, Microsoft SCCM, DHCP, DNS, WIFI, Satellite, VSAT; - Basic networking skills both wireless and endpoint switching (
CISCO
, Juniper); - MFP, IMac, Blackberry
- Physical ability to complete setups and deployment of computer equipment;
- Ability to travel, on the road within the province with potential to travel into Maine, U.S.A;
- Excellent customer focused communications skills while building a professional relationship with end users;
- Client remote access
