Psychologist – Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS)

Lifemark is excited about our new partnership with Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), the national contractor for medical, psycho‑social and vocational rehabilitation services with multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams including psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists.
This partnership offers a greater opportunity to provide holistic and integrated care for both providers and participants.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in psychological diagnostic assessments to identify diagnoses, level of distress and functional impairment and recommend treatment.
- Provide psychological treatment for complex conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, concurrent disorders and psychosocial needs.
- Work autonomously, providing one‑to‑one psychological services, and work within interdisciplinary Mental Health teams.
- Provide supervision as appropriate to other psychologists and psychotherapists.
- Provide consultation to other team members and management on clinical cases or practice dilemmas.
- Develop new mental health program content for the unique needs of various client groups.
- Leverage novel approaches, including adjunct digital therapeutics, to deliver mental health services.
- Apply assessment competencies to pre‑employment suitability assessments, diagnostic assessments and psycho‑social resource building.
- Consult with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to in‑house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Current registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists (competency with adult populations; clinical). Asset: counselling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology is advantageous.
- Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment.
- Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
- Providing evidence‑based treatments grounded in cognitive‑behavioral approaches.
- Experience developing and evaluating mental health programs is considered an asset.
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and with third‑party payers is considered an asset.
- Experience utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
- Efficient clinical documentation.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
