Service Overview

TD Equipment Finance (TDEF) is a Centre of Excellence within TD's Specialized Commercial Banking group. Its mandate is to structure equipment financing solutions (leases and loans) for existing and prospective business clients, as an alternative to traditional banking financing sources such as term loans.

Role Description

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Account Executive - Major Accounts is responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy for the existing portfolio of clients and prospects, with a particular focus on large corporate and national clients requiring sophisticated equipment financing solutions.

The incumbent acts as a specialized strategic partner to Commercial Banking National Accounts teams, TD Securities, and Commercial Banking Centres, contributing actively to the positioning of TDEF within large-scale and complex financing relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the current portfolio of clients and prospects, focused on major and national accounts
  • Identify, qualify and develop complex equipment financing opportunities with large corporate and institutional clients
  • Deepen existing client relationships and increase penetration within strategic accounts
  • Structure and negotiate equipment financing solutions (leases and loans) tailored to client-specific needs
  • Manage transactions end-to-end, including financial analysis, structuring, credit approvals and funding
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment financing within major clients relationships
  • Collaborate closely with Credit, Risk Management, Operations and Legal teams to deliver a seamless and integrated client experience
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and achievement of objectives
Job Requirements Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in commercial or corporate financing or major account management
  • Professional designation such as CFA, CPA, CMA or MBA considered an asset
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and taxation
  • Strong financial analysis, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed and collaborative environment
  • Results-driven mindset with strong relationship management skills
  • Bilingual in French and English required
