Responsibilities- Partner with Credit Solution Associate on credit portfolio for authorizations up to $5MM.
- Partner with the Service team to ensure satisfactory onboarding of clients.
- Serve clients who are borrowing (under $5MM) and non-borrowing; borrowing clients typically have standard to moderate complexity financial solutions.
- Develop strong business development and communication skills to manage client, market and internal partner relationships.
- Interact with internal partners including Global Transaction Banking, Business Banking, Retail, Wealth Management, Global Banking and Markets, Cash Management Contact Centre, and potentially Global Risk Management, Business Banking Operations, Enhanced Due Diligence Unit CRA, and the Canadian Commercial Banking Executive Office.
- Promote the development and profitable growth of the Canadian Commercial Banking portfolio in the assigned market area.
- Conduct sales planning activities, execute business development strategies, and build relationships with partners and both existing and new clients. Collaborate with the credit team on initial analysis and credit applications.
- Strong proven experience pursuing a business development program within an assigned market area.
- Two to four years of experience in commercial banking and business development.
- Proven record of strong sales/closing skills.
- Strong market network.
- Top-notch negotiation skills.
- Good commercial credit skills.
- Strong knowledge of the Bank’s commercial lending and deposit products and services, and customer profitability model, to provide integrated financial solutions.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and access to a vehicle.
- Be part of a proven member of the Canadian Commercial Banking team, contributing to team goals and business strategies.
- Be a champion of a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships and systems.
- Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with the ability to adjust priorities as needed.
- Promote the development and profitable growth of the Canadian Commercial Banking portfolio in the assigned market area.
- Build and maintain a market profile with internal and external contacts.
- Contribute to a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
