Your Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Engineering or Sciences student interested in a career in the environmental consulting field for Summer 2026. This position is based in Fredericton NB or Saint John NB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field work: field sampling and data gathering on environmental projects of all types of media including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, noise, vibration and many more
  • Project coordination: among Stantec field staff, office staff, the client and other parties such as government regulators and suppliers
  • Data Management: collection, compilation and database applications of physical and chemical data
  • Analysis:
    Desktop, computer and project team analysis of information and resources to identify and define solutions related primarily to environmental aspects such as air, water and the biophysical environment as well as socio-economic components
  • Reporting: preparation of reports detailing the work carried out, results, conclusions and recommendations
  • Proposal Writing: working independently and on proposal teams to create winning proposals including defining scope of work, qualified teams and cost budgeting
Your Capabilities and Credentials

The successful Co-op candidate must be a motivated, self-starter, who works well in a team environment. He/she must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate must also possess a valid driver's license.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
