Job Description

Primary duties and responsibilities of the Janitor include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a routine cleaning schedule for the offices, manufacturing building, and grounds area with the Maintenance Manager, performing sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and servicing restrooms, and timely disposal of rubbish and waste.
  • Maintain knowledge of each department location and leader to interface with routine scheduled cleaning.
  • Perform job duties and responsibilities with very little supervision.
  • Inventory various supplies and cleaning products, notify Maintenance Manager to re‑order, and use/dispose of products according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Be versed in plant safety procedures:
    Hazard Communication Program (Safety Data Sheets), proper lifting and bending procedures, accident prevention, personal protective equipment, blood borne pathogens, basic electrical safety, plant evacuation routes, safe use of cleaning equipment, and the safety concerns of co‑workers & visitors for wet floors and electrical cords.
  • Periodically perform work that does not pertain to the job function (e.g., work production line, break machines, secondary responsibilities).
  • Perform monthly safety audits/inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and bug lights, and other periodic safety audits as assigned.

Starting Pay: $19.00

Schedule:

Monday – Saturday, 8‑hour shifts
