Essential Function

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. They develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all areas outlined below and are responsible for all Primary Duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Primary Duties
  • 30% Brand: Provides supervision and supports daily goal planning for associates to deliver an exceptional client experience that maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty. Emphasis on both in-store selling and omnichannel. Ensures brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code are met. Acts as point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns, and analyzes store trends to anticipate customer demands.
  • 30% People: Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results. Leverages internal hiring platforms and actively recruits to build a strong network of external candidates. Identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate, addressing via coaching or counseling. Holds team accountable to company policies, resolves concerns, keeps associates informed, builds relationships with peers, and fosters an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • 30% Operations: Executes all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Utilizes processes supporting digital strategies such as omnichannel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manages inventory, payroll hours, scheduling, store opening/closing procedures, and follows through on company directives and projects.
  • 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensures a safe store environment for associates and customers, enforcing policies and procedures. Protects company assets through inventory and cash control, analyzing reporting tools, and ensuring compliance with HAZMAT training.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
  • Effective communication with team and management
  • Scheduling availability to meet business needs
  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
