Digital Merchandising Manager About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Digital Merchandising Manager with 5-8 years of hands‑on expertise in digital merchandising to join our team. Based in Saint George, Utah, this role will focus on optimizing our online product catalog, driving customer engagement, and boosting conversions across our e‑commerce platforms. Reporting to e‑commerce leadership, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, and external partners to execute merchandising strategies that align with business goals.
This position emphasizes Amazon and other major marketplaces like Walmart, Target, and our direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) site, with opportunities to innovate in a growing e‑commerce environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital merchandising strategies for product setup, categorization, navigation, and on‑site presentation to enhance customer experience and maximize conversion rates.
- Oversee product page content, including descriptions, images, and attributes, to support key performance targets such as organic revenue growth, gross profit margins, and customer retention.
- Lead initiatives for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and inventory optimization within assigned categories, ensuring alignment with inventory health and market demand.
- Monitor and analyze site performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, average order value, bounce rates) using tools like Google Analytics or Amazon Vendor Central, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct category performance analysis, identify trends, and collaborate on cross‑functional projects to improve site search, filtering, and recommendation algorithms.
- Promote innovation by researching industry trends, competitive landscapes, and best practices in e‑commerce merchandising, recommending process improvements and A/B testing opportunities.
- Troubleshoot merchandising issues, coordinate with IT and third‑party agencies for technical resolutions, and ensure catalog accuracy across platforms.
- Marketing and Content Teams:
Collaborate on content strategy, SEO optimization, and promotional activations. - Product and Supply Chain:
Partner on SKU rationalization, inventory positioning, and launch timelines. - Sales and Operations:
Provide insights for channel strategies and resolve logistics‑related merchandising challenges. - Analytics and IT:
Work on data integration, system enhancements, and performance tracking.
- 5-8 years of experience in e‑commerce merchandising, preferably with Amazon Vendor Central, Shopify, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting data from analytics tools to drive optimization.
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Expertise in optimizing product content, site navigation, and user experience for engagement and sales.
- Excellent communication skills to translate insights into recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Magento, Woo Commerce) and site search tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
- Some exposure to user experience or CRO is a plus.
