:
Manager of the Disability Inclusion and Belonging Team – St George Hospital
Manager, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging – St George Hospital. This temporary full-time role leads a multidisciplinary team to advance inclusive care across services until 31 January 2027. The role oversees programs and initiatives supporting CALD communities, people with disabilities, carers, LGBTIQ+ individuals, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families. The role reports to the manager of the Social Work Department at St George Hospital and includes access to monthly supervision, professional development and wellbeing activities.
Responsibilities- Lead and inspire a team of professionals across diverse health portfolios.
- Champion inclusive practices that improve patient experience and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed equity and belonging into every aspect of care.
- Drive innovation and cultural change through education, advocacy, and strategic planning.
- Committed to social justice and health equity.
- Skilled in managing complex teams and stakeholder relationships.
- Experienced in working across diverse communities and health systems.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or public sector management or equivalent senior industry experience, with experience working with multicultural communities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture and lead change.
- High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach.
- Effective information technology skills, including office systems.
- Experience in policy development and understanding of multicultural policies and plans for a culturally diverse society.
- Understanding of CALD community health needs and equity issues and their impact on health outcomes.
- Project management experience and ability to develop and support partnerships with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Up to 12 allocated days off each year (full-time) in addition to annual leave.
