Job Opening for a Custodial Specialist Washington County Maintenance Department

Full time - with benefits

$18.42 per hour

Performs facility care and cleaning tasks; monitors custodial supplies and materials inventory; apprises supervisor of shortages; washes and cleans walls, door frames, doors, and glass; empties and cleans waste receptacles. Cleans, disinfects and sanitizes restroom sinks and bowls, services soap dispensers, towel and tissue boxes, and similar fixtures; washes windows, sanitizes drinking fountains; cleans and sanitizes breakroom microwaves, sinks and surfaces;

vacuums and maintains work closets and monitors availability of supplies. Operates various cleaning equipment, mixes chemicals as needed to perform specialized cleaning functions; performs basic facility security checks; checks door locks and other systems for proper operation.

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of procedures, tools, equipment and materials used in custodial work, safety practices of custodial work and use of cleaning agents and equipment.
