The role is to perform medical imaging procedures and be responsible for the production and accurate archiving of diagnostic images under the direction of department and section managers.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure the safety of patients and provide high quality patient care.
  • To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 rotating roster with strong and effective communication skills.
  • To work with independent initiative, undertake continuing professional development and maintain competency in all clinical tasks.

Selection Criteria
  • Hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent
  • Hold a NSW EPA Radiation Licence to operate radiation apparatus and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to perform radiographic examinations in a wide range of modality areas including general, theatre, mobiles
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 roster and on call as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience or knowledge in utilising health related computer applications
  • Ability to work with a team and independently with the ability to organise workload to facilitate high patient throughput
  • A knowledge of WHS and radiation protection practices
  • Proven ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail
