The

role

The Head of Health Safety and Wellbeing provides strategic leadership on work health and safety, workers compensation and injury management, and employee wellbeing for the District. The position leads a sizeable team of multi-disciplinary professionals who partner with stakeholders in the development and implementation of associated strategies, plans, programs, systems, policies and procedures to minimise risk exposure, improve organisational performance and ensure compliance with statutory and Safe Work NSW requirements, alongside NSW Health policy.

Ultimately SESLHD is committed to providing a work environment that enables our teams to thrive, underpinned by a strong safety culture.

The position is a key member of the People and Culture Directorate Leadership team and works collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and senior executives to support the delivery of high quality person‑centred care.
