Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Support Technician to join our team supporting lithium battery systems for marine and RV applications. In this role, you will serve as the first line of technical support for customers, helping diagnose issues, guide installations, and ensure optimal battery performance across a variety of marine vessels and recreational vehicles. Your expertise will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and the ongoing improvement of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues with lithium marine and RV battery systems via phone, email, and chat.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and battery-related issues remotely using established diagnostic procedures.
  • Guide customers through installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lithium battery systems in boats, motorhomes, travel trailers, and camper vans.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of marine and RV electrical systems, including 12V/24V configurations, inverters, converters, solar integration, and shore power connections.
  • Assist customers in identifying compatibility issues with alternators, chargers, inverter/chargers, and solar charge controllers, recommending solutions based on manufacturer specifications.
  • Document customer interactions, recurring issues, and solutions to support knowledge base development and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to elevate and resolve technical concerns related to battery performance, BMS behavior, and system integration.
  • Educate customers on lithium battery safety, proper charging profiles, winterization/storage procedures, and best practices to maximize battery lifespan.
  • Process warranty claims and coordinate timely replacements or technical resolutions as needed.
  • Support internal teams in testing and evaluating battery performance using customer feedback, field reports, and issue trends.
  • Stay informed on emerging lithium battery technologies and evolving marine/RV electrical standards and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in technical customer support, preferably in the battery, marine, RV, EV, or power systems industry.
  • Strong understanding of 12V/24V DC systems and how lithium batteries integrate with marine and RV electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-friendly language.
  • Proficiency with CRM and support ticketing tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
  • A proactive attitude and passion for technology and customer success.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on experience working with lithium battery systems in marine and RV environments.
  • Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and related diagnostic tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting and configuring systems from common marine/RV brands and equipment manufacturers (e.g., Victron Energy, Xantrex, Magnum Energy, Garmin, Lowrance), including inverter/chargers, DC-DC chargers, MPPTs, and RV-C / NMEA 2000 networks.
